3K a year 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago As a Member Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members in regards to their accounts, billing questions, programs, or general customer service matters.
Other responsibilities will include clerical duties such as processing requests for services, procuring forms and fees, processing outage calls, and accepting/processing member payments.
As a Member Service Representative, you will be an expert at assisting members in a prompt, courteous, and efficient manner, while professionally representing MidSouth Electric Co-op.
What You Will Bring to The Table:
High School Diploma or equivalency with 3 years or more experience in a call center environment or a professional customer service business office.
Customer Service Experience working in an Electric Utility and/or Fiber Optic/Telecommunications Environment preferred.
You must be able to represent MidSouth in a professional manner by providing exceptional customer service.
Promotion of our service and products portfolio is required.
Technical Skills:
You must be able to utilize the internet, multiple computer screens, and various databases to transform member problems into solutions.
This includes the ability to thoroughly explain our services and products in a professional and effective manner in person and via phone/email.
Attention to Details:
You must demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to prevent incorrect information.
This includes responsibly managing sensitive member information, as well as internal cooperative information.
Excellent Interpersonal Skills:
You must effectively communicate with members as well as all departments of the coop.
You must have the ability to work in a team oriented environment, as well as independently.
This also includes maintaining professionalism, patience, and composure when faced with a stressful situation.
Time Management Skills:
You must have the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a high energy, fast paced environment with quickly changing priorities and situations.
This includes the ability to effectively listen to our members to identify issues using positive customer service language, while simultaneously completing your day to day responsibilities.
Valid Texas Class C Driver's License:
You must maintain a good driving record measured by MidSouth's criteria.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
