Overview:
As PBX Operator you are responsible for processing incoming and outgoing communications courteously, while maintaining a positive and professional image.
Essential Functions:
Answer and process all incoming/outgoing guest and in-house calls.
Check bulletin board and log books for all pertinent information.
Forward messages and faxes as needed to guests and various departments.
Responsible for HotSos communications between security, engineering, and housekeeping.
Ensure all phone request logs are completed in their entirety, follow-up on any discrepancies, and report any continuous issues to the Front Office Manager.
Responsible for blocking all group and contracted rooms.
Ensure airline rooms are checked-in and checked-out correctly and billing is accurate.
Attend Group Rooms meetings and present status reports on blocks, pick-up, cancellations, billing and package codes.
Manage Airline Key Cards, Assignments, and Check Ins Administration of Calendly, HotSOS, Salto and Zingle Manage and ensure PBX team is working efficiently and communicating effectively with guests and staff Maintain Space Chart and Balance room types as needed Assist with discrepancies; i.
e Billing, Unresolved Check Outs Assign Condo Reservations; Tetris Create and Update SOPs as needed Oversee & provide:
no show, amenity, comp/off market, and missing inventory reports to designated team members.
Any other duties as the position develops and is assigned by the Director of Rooms, Front Office Manager, or Assistant Front Office Manager.
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written communications.
Ability to work well with guests to resolve complaints in a positive manner.
Ability to use radio communications and remain calm in emergency situations.
An outgoing and engaging personality Excellent typing skills and the ability to hold a phone or operate a phone headset while operating a computer required.
Excellent listening skills and a high attention to detail The ability to sit for long periods of time.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
