Job Description:
The Lobby Attendant/Public Space is responsible for the daily cleaning duties throughout the Resort, including various front and back house areas, public and employee restrooms, public elevators, stairwells, dumpster areas, Fitness Center and Spa.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE Ability to interact well with others.
Ability to effectively communicate in the English language.
Ability to operate floor equipment (floor burnisher and floor machine, pressure sprayer shampooer/extractor and auto scrubber).
Ability to transport, handle, and/or lift 50 lbs.
(NOTE:
housekeeping supplies and laundry).
Ability to utilize a ladder for cleaning chandeliers and changing light bulbs.
Essential Functions:
Following assigned job tasks issued by a supervisor daily.
Responding to any guest requests or complaints in an expedient, professional manner, notifying supervisors to ensure follow up.
Making every attempt to recognize any guest by name and to convey our obvious, enthusiastic appreciation for their patronage.
Sweeping and mopping public areas, as needed, with proper cleaning chemicals.
Removing all debris and trash in public areas, offices and restrooms when necessary and cleaning ashtrays and ash urns in all public areas as needed.
Maintaining adequate supplies, cleanliness, and organization of all Housekeeping storage closet inventory.
Vacuuming Dining Room areas, guest room corridors and Lobby areas when necessary.
Cleaning public and employee restrooms and maintaining all supplies to those areas.
Cleaning glass doors and windows, polishing all brass and chrome fixtures, doors and elevators when necessary.
Assisting Room Attendants with heavy cleaning of guest rooms and suites as directed.
Shampooing and extracting carpets, stripping, sealing, polishing and burnishing various floors throughout the resort.
Assisting other House Attendants with their job tasks when necessary.
Reporting any repairs or damage to equipment or work areas to a supervisor.
Assisting all Housekeeping and Laundry personnel in the completion of specific job tasks when necessary.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Any other task, written or verbal, that is assigned by Management.
Maintain a good working relationship with all Departments.
ENVIRONMENT:
Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces.
Good ventilation with artificial lighting.
Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals.
Outdoors, with exposure to outdoor climate and elements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, and pushing pullingConstant lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs, frequent lifting/carrying of up to 75 lbs, and occasional lifting/carrying of up to 100 lbs or more.
Constant manual dexterity of hands and gross motor skills; constant vision and hearing.
