Job Description:
BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for generating revenue and sales transactions through excellent product knowledge, suggestive selling, and providing excellent customer service; as well as maintaining a fun, organized, and comfortable environment.
Cashiers will work in multiple locations to include at the Pool Bar & Grills and Banquets.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or high school equivalent.
Six months experience in a fast paced high volume environment as a cashier in a food and beverage environment preferred.
Excellent cash handling skills.
Excellent communications skills.
Excellent organizational and time management, decision-making and planning skills.
Essential Functions:
Maintains positive guest satisfaction by answering questions thoroughly, handling complaints or directing them to a manager, and providing specific item suggestions and information about the resort.
Maintains high-level of knowledge regarding all products and communicates properly to guests; establishes rapport with all guests through name recognition.
Proper ringing up of all Sales transactions.
Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas, etc.
Practices proper cash handling procedures by addressing the point-of-sale system after every transaction, properly organizing money, counting change back to guests, and following appropriate checkout procedures.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
To assist other departments as required.
Will perform additional duties as requested by leadership.
ENVIRONMENT:
Indoor, climate controlled with hard floors.
Outdoor, as needed, with inclement weather.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS (as required by OSHA and ADA - US only):
Requires constant standing, walking, and reaching.
Requires frequent bending, pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying of up to 30 lbs and occasional lifting/carrying of up to 50 lbs.
